Works with a dedicated and supportive team of professionals with the focus of providing the highest quality of resident care in a safe and secure environment.
The ideal candidate must have exceptional communication, leadership & organizational skills.
Responsibilities will include overseeing staff development and evaluation, infection control and employee health.
Assumes responsibility and accountability over all nursing department staff.
Must have an energetic spirit and assertive personality to manage, lead and direct all nursing staff.
Develops short and long-term goals for the nursing department.
Establishes new policies and updates existing policies to improve the standard of care for patients.
Plans and participates in the admission process by reviewing clinical information suitable for admission to the facility.
Responds to any nursing-related issues in a timely manner.
Coordinates with medical staff and other departments to ensure facility efficiency.
Participates in hiring and training new nursing staff members.
Participates in Administrator on Duty Program This position requires a valid RN license for NJ and a minimum of two (2) experience as Director of Nursing with both clinical and leadership skills; knowledge of MDS, Medicare, insurance updates and the DOH survey process for Long Term Care.
