Rehab Aide

Overview
The Occupational Therapy Department of Atlantic Health System is looking for a Full Time Rehab Aide to work in our Newton Medical Center. The hours for the role will be flexible, primarily day shifts.
Responsibilities
1) Patient Care responsibilities: monitors safety, assists professional staff in transfers, ambulation and functional activities. Prepares hot packs, cold packs under supervision of licensed staff, transports patients in a safe and courteous manner.2) Patient Related Support Activities: Cleans mats, equipment and supplies within established guidelines, follows guidelines for maintaining and expiration of supplies, Maintains an orderly, clean and safe environment. Knowledge and demonstration of department safety procedures, safe handling of hazardous substances and hand washing. Sets up and dismantles equipment as needed and performs minor repairs and adjustments of wheelchairs as needed. Maintains hot pack, cold pack, whirlpool and paraffin equipment in accordance with established guidelines. 3) Performs clerical tasks, answers phone, takes messages, pull patient charts, phone/desk coverage, copying, faxing, mail pick up/distribution, Maintains supply inventory and stocking of reception area supplies in all rehab locations.4) Demonstrates profession behaviors/Attitudes, adheres to hospital dept procedures including dress code, vacation time. Acts in a professional and courteous manner toward all customers and peers. 5) Maintains stock of linens, ultrasound gel, treatment supplies in all treatment areas. Proper cleaning of all equipment. keeps tables, work stations, keyboards and phones clean. Verifying receipt of supplies, returning supplies and keeping supply rooms neat and orderly. 6) Recording the temperature of ice pack, hot pack machine. Monthly check of overhead lift. Maintains log books up to date and legible hand writing, cleaning of equipment at the completion of each shift and in between patients as needed. 7) Responsible for Cardiopulmonary, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy.
Qualifications
Education:
High School graduate or equivalent
Requirements:
CNA preferred
Health care and patient care background preferred
Basic Life Support Certification preferred
Computer skills are a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
